The Historic Elizabethan Mansion
As a Doddington Hall wedding photographer, I’m always excited to return to this incredible Lincolnshire venue — and Iona and William’s wedding was one I’ll never forget. Their day was the perfect mix of elegance, countryside charm, and joyful personality, all set against the stunning backdrop of Doddington Hall.
The morning began at Doddington Hall itself, where Iona got ready with her bridesmaids and mums. The atmosphere was relaxed, fun, and full of anticipation. One of Iona's bridesmaids has 2 gorgeous flower girls bursting with energy, and they kept everyone smiling, while another bridesmaid’s little boy also added to the warmth and family feel of the morning. These candid, behind-the-scenes moments are some of my favourites to capture as a Doddington Hall wedding photographer.
To The Church
William, a farmer, ensured the day stayed true to who they are as a couple — arranging transport to the ceremony by tractor with carriages. Guests climbed aboard, laughter filled the countryside air, and the wedding party made their way to St Peter & St Paul’s Church in Kettlethorpe for a heartfelt and unforgettable ceremony, which was only a 5 min journey from Doddington Hall.
One of the most special moments came when Iona and William’s gorgeous dog bertie who ran up the aisle to deliver their rings. It was such a joyful surprise and perfectly reflected their relaxed, fun-loving approach to their wedding day.
After the ceremony, we captured group photographs in front of the church’s beautiful archway, creating timeless images filled with smiles and celebration. Once the confetti had settled, everyone hopped back onto the tractor and returned to Doddington Hall together — a truly unique and memorable wedding journey.

Back at Doddington Hall, guests enjoyed drinks and canapés in the stunning grounds, soaking up the atmosphere of this elegant yet welcoming venue. From its historic interiors to its sweeping gardens, it’s easy to see why couples choose Doddington Hall for their wedding — and why I love working here as a Doddington Hall wedding photographer.
