The Pheasantry Brewery is a unique wedding venue
Photographing Jess and Steph’s wedding at The Pheasantry Brewery in Nottinghamshire was an absolute joy from start to finish. From the moment we had our first Zoom call, we instantly connected, and I just knew their wedding day was going to be an incredible one to photograph.
I was kindly recommended by my good friend Chris Parker, their videographer, with whom I’ve worked closely over the past 3–4 years, photographing and filming so many amazing weddings together. Having a videographer you know well makes such a difference — we can have a laugh, bounce ideas off each other, and create a relaxed, positive energy throughout the day. That energy filters straight through to the couple and their guests, helping create an even more memorable experience for everyone.
Bridal Prep with Alpacs
Jess and Steph both got ready in the same location — and incredibly, the same room — which meant the excitement levels were doubled! They were getting ready at Broad Gate Farm at The Old Dairy, a stunning barn conversion surrounded by the most adorable animals, including alpacas and Highland cows (yes, really!). The room itself had doors dividing the space, so when it was time to get into their dresses, the doors were closed, allowing each of them to have their own special “first look” moment with their bridal teams. It was such a lovely, emotional way to start the day.
Beer Barrels & Confetti
It was my first time photographing a wedding at The Pheasantry Brewery, and arriving at a brand-new venue always brings an extra buzz of excitement. The venue is incredibly cool and unique — set in beautiful countryside and still a fully working brewery. One of the standout features is that the brewery creates a bespoke beer for your wedding day, which you can see throughout the venue (and in the photos!).
I loved taking Jess and Steph out for their portrait session around the grounds and in front of the beer barrels — such a fun and distinctive backdrop. It was definitely on the chilly side, so we snuck inside the brewery itself to warm up and capture some seriously awesome, industrial-style shots that suited the venue perfectly.

Jess and Steph’s 5-star Google review
“Geoff came highly recommended to us by a friend (who was also our wedding videographer), and as soon as we’d had our first video call, we knew we were in safe hands. As two people who love to be in control, finding someone we could fully trust was essential—and Geoff instantly put us at ease from the very beginning.
From the moment he arrived on the wedding morning, he was absolutely on it. He captured everything from the big moments to all the in‑between bits we didn’t even realise were happening. He was patient with our endless requests and added to the vibes of the day. Geoff also organised a second shooter for us, and together they produced the most incredible range of photos, from the portraits to the natural, candid shots.
Receiving the highlights just two days after the wedding was incredible. As we watched them together on our minimoon and were able to relive the day, which meant so much. Then getting the full album less than two months after the big day—just in time to share with family over Christmas—was really special.
The quality of the entire album is insane; our family and friends haven’t stopped complimenting them, and we truly couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out.
We would 100% recommend Geoff!
Thank you so much!”
