Holme Pierrepont Hall Wedding photographer
Holme Pierrepont Hall in
Nottingham is an incredible wedding venue to photograph, combining over 500 years of history with a relaxed, exclusive-use atmosphere that allows the whole day to flow naturally. Built around 1500 by Sir William Pierrepont, this Grade I listed Tudor manor is full of character, from its original features and family portraits to its beautifully maintained gardens, all of which add depth and authenticity to wedding imagery. From a photography perspective, the variety here is what makes it truly special — you can move effortlessly between the elegant courtyard garden with its symmetry and seasonal blooms, the light-filled Long Gallery perfect for ceremonies and timeless portraits, the atmospheric Medieval Lodgings with exposed beams for more intimate moments, and the expansive 30-acre grounds that are ideal for golden hour shots and wide, cinematic backdrops. The Ballroom and East Garden also provide a seamless indoor-outdoor space for evening celebrations, giving even more opportunities for natural, candid storytelling. All of this means couples get a rich, diverse gallery without ever leaving the venue, making Holme Pierrepont Hall one of the most versatile and visually stunning wedding locations in Nottinghamshire.
Ben & Ruth at Holme Pierrepont Hall
I knew this wedding would be incredible to photograph because, after the engagement shoot, it was clear that Ruth and Ben’s combined relaxed and fun approach to everything would make this a dream shoot, and my instincts were right.
Holme Pierrepont Hall provided the backdrop to some amazing shots, with the weather being very generous, and sunny but with a lovely covering of running clouds. Particular highlights include: Ruth’s speech, her amazing smile, Ben’s wit and charm and the cake to end all cakes!

The most memorable moment of the day?: It's so hard to choose as it was such a wonderful day from beginning to end! The ceremony was absolutely magical and it meant so much to have all our friends and family there with us. We also both loved the speeches - there were some great stories! I remember looking around the room at everyone laughing together and thinking that this was exactly what I hoped my wedding day would feel like! I'm not sure I stopped smiling all day!
