Rutland Wedding at Normanton Church & The Finch’s Arms in Rutland
When Zoe and Chris booked me to be their Rutland wedding photographer I was over the moon. Their love for the great outdoors and regular cycling trips around Rutland water made Normanton Church the perfect wedding venue.
The couple live in Nottingham, Chris is a product specialist in broadcasting and Zoe is the director of a film company called Zeddy Productions.
A Splendid Wedding at Rutland’s Normanton Church.
Normanton Church is perched on the very edge of Rutland Water which provides a gorgeous scenic backdrop for the ceremony. Zoe arrived a little late in her dad’s bright red camper van which was in contrast to the brilliant blue sky with rolling white clouds and from then on the ceremony went without a glitch as you will see in the photos.
After the ceremony, Chris and Zoe treated their guests to a short ferry ride around the water on the Rutland Belle, where they had champagne and canapes.
The Finch’s Arms Wedding Reception.
The Finch’s Arms in Hambleton, Rutland was where they celebrated the rest of their Rutland summer wedding with a delicious wedding breakfast, hilarious speeches and a live band for their first dance.
Zoe’s most memorable moment of the day “Making eye contact with Chris for the first time in the church and pulling a bit shocked, “We’re doing it!” face at him! (captured brilliantly by Geoff!) My Mum’s reading and poem, my two best guy mates doing their reading, the boat trip with everyone, doing our first dance to Everywhere by Fleetwood Mac, which means a lot!”
